The classic speed test — but speed isn't faster fingers. Skilled typing is your brain retrieving stored motor "chunks" instead of computing each key (Logan's instance theory). Experts pre-load the next 4–8 keystrokes before striking the current one. When it clicks, your hands run on autopilot and your mind races ahead — that's flow.

Vocabulary Depth
How deep into your mental dictionary you reach. Longer, rarer words live in less-traveled corners and take more effort to retrieve — and counterintuitively, bigger vocabularies access words faster, not slower.
Executive Function
Your mental CEO: holding a rule in mind, juggling objectives, and switching strategy on demand. Strongest in Overload (juggling cycling tiles) and Echo (holding vanished words against interference).
Elite Motor Focus
Sustained typing throughput under pressure — whether your fingers keep pace when the mental load stacks up. The "typing as fast as you think" feeling, measured.
Retrieval Speed
The raw pace of your mental search — the time between one word and the next (inter-response time). It accounts for over half the variance in fluency scores: being fast between words matters more than which words you pick.
Composure
Not how fast — how steady. The consistency of your timing from moment to moment. Speed gets the glory, but low variability is the signature of a skill truly internalized, not just attempted. (Intra-individual variability — Bielak et al., 2010.)

WPMNet words per minute (5 characters = 1 word), with errors subtracted.
RawEvery keystroke counted — mistakes, backspaces and all.
CPMCharacters per minute — pure finger speed, regardless of word length.
BurstYour fastest single moment — the peak speed over any 10-character window.
FluencyKeystrokes per character. 1.00 = flawless; higher means more backspacing.
